Can You Tell?

You know how it is when it's been a while since your kids (or grand-kids) were newborns? And every newborn just looks so small?

Well, Ashley and I look at Gavin and think "Gee, the twins were never this tiny!" but alas, it's a memory thing.... Gavin weighed 8 lbs. at birth. The twins weighed 4 lbs. 10 oz. and 6 lbs. 2 oz. That's a big difference.

And then there's the..... "who does he look like?" question.
Again, Ashley and Logan and I were thinking outloud: "Gee, the girls didn't have round little heads like Gavin...."

But look at these photo's and YOU tell ME....

I'm completely smitten

This little grandson of mine.... uh boy, such a sweetheart. Ashley needed a break in the routine (yeah, cabin fever after 5 days -- who cares if we have an incision that's forever huge, let's go go go!) so I picked up little mommy and baby and we went to visit my parents.

He's Here~~~

Baby Gavin was born at 6:19 pm, January 28th, weighing 8 lbs. and is 20" long. Very chubby, very sweet, and very healthy. Maybe a little boisterous and opinionated, too? I'm told that he was screaming before he was all the way out!! LOL.

Daddy is staying the night at the hospital since they don't do the "nursery" thing at this hospital and Ashley's feeling a bit rough-around-the-edges. She had such a hard time with the anesthesia meds and was pretty nauseous. So I'm spending the night at their house with the twins and I'm not real familiar with my daughters laptop, so.....I'll post pictures soon. Once I'm home and rested, LOL. Keeping up with two 3-year-olds is a challenge for this grandma!

Today's the Day!

My new grandson is scheduled to arrive this evening!
Ashley & cute hubby have left for the hospital.
I'm at their house tending the twins (who are still napping - lil' angels).
Ashley may want to hang me for using this photo I found on her laptop---
isn't it so funny? She's a funny girl, that one.
